CHALLENGE

Condensing a 50-year scientific quest into a 52-minute film meant keeping the story immersive and accessible, not to mention bringing leading broadcasters RTS and ARTE on board. Shot over four weeks in Greece and worked and re-worked over 20 weeks of intensive post-production — writing, editing, graphics, and sound — this extraordinary adventure finally came to life on screen.

APPROACH

This archaeological documentary tells a deeply human story — Swiss archaeologist Denis Knoepfler’s lifelong quest to locate a lost Ancient Greek sanctuary. Blending fieldwork and spectacular finds with scientific investigation and visual reconstructions, the film reveals what ruins alone cannot. In the background emerges the long history of the sanctuary of Artemis, shaped by myth, ritual, and centuries-old memories.
